There are some special keys, which, when held down in conjunction with other operations, affect the meaning of the operation. These keys are the Option, Command and Shift keys.
The Command key when held down with a letter will select the menu item associated with the letter, if it exists.
An Option-click action consists of holding the option key down just before pressing the mouse button. After pressing the mouse button, the key may be released.
An Option-Command click consists of holding both the Option and Command keys down simultaneously while clicking.
A Shift-click means holding the Shift key down while pressing the mouse button.
If there is a menu key equivalent, the modifier keys are still applied to the Command-letter sequence when selecting a menu item.
